Virtual EMDR Consultation for Clinicians

Whether you are looking to enhance your confidence in using EMDR therapy skills, broadening your EMDR Therapy knowledge, becoming a certified EMDR Therapist, or are seeking to obtain your Approved Consultant designation, our specialized EMDR Consultation services are designed to help clinicians excel in their clinical practice. With over 20 years of experience, we offer expert guidance and support in mastering the standard EMDR protocol, EMD, EMDr, and the use of specialized protocols or modifications.

Which path will you take?

 

The path to becoming an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist requires the following:

  • Completion of an EMDRIA approved Basic EMDR Training (40 hours of training and 10 hours of consultation)
  • Fully licensed mental health professional in the state in which you practice 
  • 2 years clinical experience in your field of licensing 
  • At least 50 EMDR Therapy sessions with at least 25 clients 
  • 20 hours of consultation- 10 hours of individual consultation and 10 hours of group consultation 
  • 12 hours of EMDRIA credits (training/workshops)

 

The path to becoming an EMDRIA Approved Consultant requires the following:

  • You are an EMDRIA Certified Therapist 
  • Completion of the Consultant-in-Training (CIT) Declaration Form on the EMDRIA website 
  • 20 hours of Consultation of Consultation from an Approved Consultant, with a combination of individual and group hours
  • Work with at least 5 clinicians, at least 3 must have completed Basic EMDR Training 
  • Conducted at least 300 EMDR sessions with at least 75 clients

We offer specialized EMDR Consultation services virtually to support clinicians in mastering EMDR Therapy. Our experienced consultant, Mary Entrican, provides guidance, feedback, and resources to help you gain confidence and improve effectiveness in using this powerful therapeutic approach.

Consultees who work with us gain an increased understanding and confidence in:

  • The AIP (Adaptive Information Processing) Model
  • The Standard 8 Phase Protocol and 3 prongs of EMDR Therapy 
  • Case conceptualization and treatment planning/target selection 
  • Understanding when to use modifications to the standard protocol
  • Use of specialized protocols 
  • Working with blocking beliefs, looping, and other stuck points

Mary Entrican specializes in the treatment of complex trauma, dissociative symptoms, addictions, and mood disorders. EMDR Consultation includes mastery of the standard EMDR protocol, EMD, EMDr, and the use of specialized protocols or modifications such as EMDR 2.0, the Image Director Protocol for nightmares, DeTUR for reducing cravings and triggers, and Early Intervention Protocols.  Mary Entrican also incorporates parts work through the use of IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Ego States Work.  She assists clinicians in working with blocking beliefs and cognitive interweaves to facilitate reprocessing. Case consultations, role-plays, and video demonstration are utilized in consultation.
